How do we prepare the rooms before the heat treatment?
-When we come we will check to make sure that most items are positioned in the centre of the room. This allows for air circulation to blow around the bulk of the items in the room freely.
-Then we will place the heaters in the room. Depending on the size of the room we will install 1 or 2 heaters. Smaller rooms are faster to heat up so can require just one.
-We will then position the fans in the room to blow the hot air around the room and reach every crevice.
-Then heater temperature sensors will be installed in cold areas of the room to ensure that even the coldest parts of the room are heated above the required temperature.
-We can place some diatomaceous earth around the edges of the room (this is optional). This is optional. This is not a poison as such, essentially it is a food ingredient which slowly dries the bedbugs shell out over time.
-We then run the heaters for the required amount of time in order to kill the bedbugs.
